Rendon Becomes Only The Third College Underclassman To Be Named Baseball America Player of the Year
Former Heat player, Anthony Rendon of Rice Univ., was named Baseball America Player of the Year for 2010. Anthony became the first underclassman in over a decade and only the third underclassman ever to win the award. The 2010 MLB First Year Player Draft Stocked With Current And Former Heat Players
Once again the MLB First Year Player Draft has a decided Houston Heat flavor to it. For the 2nd year in a row a former Heat player was selected in the 1st Round of the draft. In 2009 it was Mathew Purke and Aaron Miller and in 2010 it's Barrett Loux. Here is the rundown of the current and former Heat players that were selected in the 2010 Draft.
